In late 2015, I started working on Sitecore, and in 2016, I joined the Sitecore community. Since then, I have been part of both. Over the years, I have met a lot of great colleagues, worked in three different countries, and had the chance to work on a few interesting projects.

Through the Sitecore community, I was able to present at conferences and user group meetups, publish blog posts, record a lot of Sitecore training videos (I am mostly recognized as a YouTube guy), and organize meetups and conferences along the way. I was also awarded the Sitecore MVP title six times (2018–2023) for my community contributions.

Looking back, all of this gives me immense satisfaction and a chance to meet a lot of great community members who have become friends over the years.
Due to personal circumstances, I have not been able to spend enough time on any community contributions, and I have come to a point where I need some time off from the contributions and active involvement in the community.

Just to clarify, there’s nothing against the Sitecore community; it’s one of the most wonderful communities out there.

Going forward, day-to-day work-wise, I will still be working on the Sitecore platform, but in the community, I will be more of a passive participant and also not apply for the MVP title anymore.

In the future, if my situation changes, I will be happy to be back as an active participant and contributor.

Goodbye until next time.
