Best way to connect with Sitecore community across the globe is through Sitecore Slack or Sitecore Stack Exchange, or Community Site. You can find ways to connect, and further information here.
But there are also large pool of Sitecore developers in India, who connect through local community groups, here I am providing more information about Sitecore user groups in India.
SUG – Sitecore User Group

- How to Connect: One of the oldest (more than 3 years) running user group in India, where they conduct monthly webinars and quarterly in-person (although little inconsistent) meetups. You can join the webinars online, network with people by attending in-person meetups. Also they have local WhatsApp group, where there are around 170+ developers, to join, reach out to one of the organizers.

SUGCON India (Sitecore User Group Conference India):
This is the wonderful conference where you can watch awesome presentations & network with all the Sitecore developers from India at one place. First ever conference happened on May-2018. Look out for next year conference, and find more details here.
Important points:
- User group name itself suggests you, in which city it is organized. (only exception is SUG India, it is run from Vadodara, Gujarat)
- All the above meetups are free of cost to attend. In some of the meetups you can also collect goodies from sponsors. (Obviously except the SUGCON India, it is a conference, paid one, but ticket cost is very less compared to what it offers.)
- All the user groups are continuously looking for speakers. If you want to present either remotely or in-person, do reach out to organizers immediately.
- Most of the user groups record their sessions and put it on YouTube. So you can also watch previous meetup sessions.
